Not everyone wants to know the contents of the books before they read them, but for those that do, below is the list of trigger warnings:

The Other Realm – Glimmer Series

The Other Realm Glimmer series contains themes of grief and loss, terminal diagnosis of a loved one, and occasional strong/mature language.

No sexual scenes are depicted in detail but can be inferred. As such recommended reading age is 16+.

The Other Wolf Series

The Other Wolf series contains themes of adoption, with occasional strong/mature language. There is a storyline of child abduction. No sexual scenes are depicted in detail but can be inferred. The recommended reading age is 16+.

The Other Realm – Court Series

The Other Realm Court series contains themes of child kidnappings, and references an abusive relationship as well as childhood abuse. Neither of the latter two feature in the books in any detail but are simply referred to.

There is a scene of torture (with fire) in Revival of the Court and there is some sexual threat, though there is nothing carried out.

The Other Witch series

The Other Witch series has scenes which reference dementia, mental illness, attempted suicide and suicide.

The Portlock Paranormal Detective series

The Portlock Paranormal Detective series contains bad language and violence. There are scenes of a teenage kidnapping and contain references to a made up drug.

General Warnings

All of Heather’s series have occasional mature language and have scenes of violence and death.

Having said all that, Heather promises that the overriding purpose of her work is to leave you smiling and feeling uplifted. Grief is a matter of life but her books are NOT about being a Debbie Downer. These books all have positive ‘Found Family’ vibes.

Oh and time travel. (Some people really hate time travel. Who knew?)
